Children's Foot Care

Severs Disease – An inflamed growth plate that leads to pain in the heel. This condition is common between 10-14 years old and particularly in very active children. Assessment, diagnosis and treatment plans are available.

Osgood Schlatters – An inflamed growth in the knee at the insertion of the patella tendon. An inward tracking patella can contribute to the condition. Assessment of foot mechanics and correction can be helpful in this condition.

In Toeing – Some children have an intoed gait. Assessment to locate if the problem has its origin at the hip, leg or foot will determine the best treatment method.

Growing Pain – Children can develop leg pain particularly when growing. Assessment of muscle joint range of movement and foot mechanics is helpful in determining the treatment plan.
